Andy Moore wins 2017 Singapore Open

The long standing Singapore Open was held at the super fast Marine Paradise track recently with the 2-day event once again attracting a number of international entries. Among the visitors was Jessie Davis, the Australian going on to secure the overall TQ ahead of former winner Nelson Lee. With Davis directly qualifying for the 45-minute Main, the rest of the grid would be decided in the 20-minute semi finals with the first win going to Singapore driver Alvin Ng. In the second encounter, Lee would take a narrow victory over Andy Moore. Carrying his qualifying form into the final, Davis looked to have victory sown up but in the 44th minute, while holding a 1-lap lead over Infinity team-mate Moore, he would make a slight mistake entering the pitlane. The contact would result in a damaged servo horn allowing Moore to slip through to take the win on the final lap. Moore’s first win with Infinity, Davis would finish 2nd despite his altercation while Thailand’s Chavit Sirigupta would make it an all Infinity podium.
