Dakotah Phend & JR Mitch win at TLR Cup Rd2

The second round of the TLR Cup was held at R/C Excitement of Fitchburg, Massachusetts this past weekend. Open for all brands the event attracted a good amount of entries and in the premier 2WD Modified Buggy class it was top qualifier, Dakotah Phend (TLR) who took wins in the opening two A-mains to grab the overall victory from his TLR team mates JR Mitch and Frank Root. The latter two had some mixed mains with JR recovering from a 7th place finish in A2 thanks to a win in A3 while Frank’s 10-4-2 finish was enough to take the final podium spot on a tie-breaker with Matt Cline and Toddie Anderson.

The 4WD Modified Buggy A-mains again saw Dakotah, JR and Frank taking the top 3 spots. Dakotah came out fastest in A2 and A3 while JR took the win in A1. Frank with 3-3-2 finished had to settle for 3rd overall. Following his double 2nd place finishes in the Modified Buggy classes JR Mitch would finally bring home an overall victory in the Modified Truck class courtesy of wins in A2 and A3. A1 winner, Dimitri Condax obtained the runner-up spot while Rim Blake rounded out the top 3 result.
