HSH-Yokomo Sunday Race – Report

Round 1 of the HSH-Yokomo Sunday Race was held this past weekend at the Dintikon track in Switzerland with about 50 drivers in attendance. The race was held in the four classes of Touring Modified, Formula, Touring Pro Stock Race Truck and Yokomo Acadamy Kids. In the premier Touring Modified class it was Michele Manzo taking the win, just a week after his victory at the first Swiss championship race, in front of Florian Hauser and Oliver Krähenmann.

In the Formula class it was a close race between Michael Häuptli, Reto Nauer and Mario Hässig. In the opening A-main it was Mario Hässig who took the win but Michael Häuptli came out on top in A2 and A3 to take the overall win from Mario Hässig and Reto Nauer.

In Touring Pro Stock Race Truck it was a clean sweep for Jan Hässig, who won all qualifiers and final legs.

Finally in the Yokomo Academy Kids category, a group of 30 kids who built and prepared their Yokomo SD-9 kits during the Winter and of which 12 attended round 1 of the championship, it was Simon Huber who won his first race in front of Liam Feiss and Lucas Stiasny.

Thanks to Mario Hässig for the report.
