Quentin Leroux wins French 200mm Nationals Rd3

This past weekend the third round of the French 200mm national championship was held at the Limoges track. The event started off on Friday with pleasant weather, but come Saturday things got complicated as heavy rain interrupted the qualifying and only one dry round could be completed although under totally different grip conditions compared to Friday. The last two qualifying rounds were then postponed to Sunday morning but they were still ran in low grip conditions. The qualifying results would see Kevin Rasquin taking the TQ honours with his Capricorn, followed by the other Capricorns of Quentin Leroux and Guillon Thomas, with Shepherd’s Concialdi Basile in fourth. For the main final the track offered improved grip conditions thanks to the running of the lower finals. In the opening stages of the 45-minute main final Quentin Leroux took over the lead and he never looked back to take the win some three laps ahead of Kevin Rasquin who was in a fight with Michael Derderian (Xray). Thomas Guillon as also in the mix for the 2nd place but a broken engine meant a DNF for him.
