Xray Racing Series Greece Rd4 – Report

The 4th round of the Xray Racing Series Greece was held at the Fanatix Racing Track in very hot weather conditions. Despite the perfect beach party weather a lot of racers gathered to attend the race that was held in several electric and nitro classes. In the premier Touring Modified class it was Papachristos (Xray) with the TQ and win in all finals. The 2nd place went to newcomer Vasilopoulos (Tamiya) in front of Diamadis (Xray) who for once did not suffer from mechanical or electrical issues.

In Touring 17.5T Blinky it was Papadopoulos (Xray) from Sotiropoulos (Xray) and young gun Ioannidis (Xray), the latter being a bit unlucky this time.

The Formula class, run on GRP control tyres, saw Vagelis Papachristos making a clean sweep by taking the TQ and all three A-main legs to grab the overall win from Diamadis and Kidis, making it an all-Xray podium.

The Pan Car category saw again Nikos Nikolakopoulos (TOP Racing) scoring big with an improving Tasos Papadopoulos (Xray) coming in 2nd. The podium was completed by last year’s Pan Car champion George Kazoglou (Xray).

The 4WD Buggy class saw Takas (Xray) taking all qualifiers and finals for an easy win in front of Andreas (Xray) and Katsigianis (Schumacher).

In the 1/10th Nitro Stock class and despite an easily gained TQ position, last year’s champion Sotos Diamadis ended the race on the 2 spot due to some flame outs and just behind the outsider George Pappas who took the race win while Michailides completed the all-Xray top 3 result.
