The Romacross track in Rome, Italy played host to the Oktoberfest Race this past weekend. The event attracted Italy’s fastest off-road drivers and also guests from abroad such as Elliott Boots and Robert Batlle. A super-dry and bumpy track made for very dusty conditions but come Saturday evening the time were getting faster and at the end of qualifying it was Robert Batlle with the TQ from Marco Natale while Elliott Boots had to settle for 3rd overall after scoring one TQ run. After the semifinals it was still Robert on the top spot while Elliott had grooved in to take the P2 spot on the main final grid. At the start of the 30-minutes main final Elliott would follow Robert for a few laps, gaining in some places and losing in others. Finally Boots would close right up on Batlle and when the latter made a mistake, Elliott would take the lead and never look back. In the end Elliott was able to take the win by two laps and both Robert and Marco would suffer problems towards the end of the race, making way for Marco Ravaglia in 2nd and Dario Gabrielli 3rd.
