Rebels Race Rd1 – Report

The opening round of the Czech Rebels Race series was held in Prague-Třebešín with over 65 drivers attending in six on-road categories that included Touring Open, Touring Stock and 1/12th scale 6.5T zero boost classes. Attracting the most drivers was the Touring Open class with 30 sign-ups. The race for the win was on between TQ Petr Grof (Yokomo), Michal Blahovský (Xray) and Matěj Šulc (Xray). Ultimately it was Petr with the win in all three A-mains from Matěj, who scored 2-2-2 finishes. Michal would round out the podium result in 3rd.

The Touring Stock category attracted a total of 13 entries and the class was run with a JustStock 13.5T motor and Hudy hand-out tyres – the latter were also used by the Modified class. The race was won by Karel Kratochvíl from family member Martin Kratochvíl while Jirka Svoboda rounded out the all-Xray podium.

The Formula class was run with Hobbywing Justock 21.5T combos to make for a level playing field. Libor Prchal (Xray) would take the win from Jan Prchal (Xray) in 2nd. Jiří Jarolímek ml. (Serpent) completed the top 3 results.

In the GT category, that unfortunately only attracted five entries, it was Radovan Konopík (Xray) with the win from Jan Prchal (Xray) and Libor Prchal (Xray).

The 1/12th Pan Car class was run according to EFRA 6.5T zero boost rules and with eight minutes run time which made for more controllable cars which was welcomed by many. Vita Hola lead an Xray 1-2-3 after the finals with Marcel Dostál and Jan Kanina coming in 2nd and 3rd respectively.
