The Jokerteam R/C Racing Club located in Bolzano, Italy has announced details of their 2018 Championship. The event, now in its 13th year, is one of the most popular in the very North Eastern part of Italy, close to the Austrian border. For the third year running, the Championship will be dedicated exclusively to the GT12 class and will consist of seven rounds, starting April 15th, 2018 and wrapping up on September 30th, 2018. Rules will strictly follow BRCA principles for the GT12 class with one notable exception. From 2018, drivers will only be allowed the use of control tyres. This, according to the organisers, will allow an even more level playing field, thus assuring very close racing among participants. Finally, two rounds of the Championship – May 13th and July 22nd – will count for the Italian GT12 Series that took off recently with its first round. All rounds will be held at the traditional outdoor asphalt track in Bolzano which covers roughly 600 square meters. More information can be found on the club’s website here.
