Picco V1-3518 & S1-1218 nitro engines

Coming from Picco are the new V1-3518 Team DLC Ceramic and S1-2918 Team nitro engines. Starting with the V1-3518, the power plant is an updated version of the engine that won last year’s 1/8th Buggy Euros in Sweden. The 5-port cylinder, paired with the long stroke design, provides plenty of power throughout the whole power band. The crankshaft received an DLC treatment in order to increase its durability even in the most demanding off-road situation and it rotates in a Swiss-made ceramic rear bearing. The carburettor sports the latest double bottom-end adjustment for fine-tuning and improved reliability and the engine is rounded out by a new cooling head design.

Also new is the S1-1218 Team 2.1cc competition engine. The redesigned 12mm crankshaft with silicone insert optimises the mixture flow, improving the overall performances of the power unit without compromising on fuel consumption. The 3-port cylinder and the composite carburettor complete the engine, easy to distinguish thanks to the updated colour scheme of the LCG cooling head. The newly shaped crankshaft is connected to the piston by a super aligned “knife edged” rod and rotates in Swiss-Made ball bearings for optimised performance. The piston is CNC-machined from a high silicone percentage alloy, while the brass cylinder is hand-finished and sports a tear-drop work on its ports.
