Prümper & Bultynck win at GP3F

The Grand Prix des 3 Frontiers, also known as GP3F was held by the French MRC Longwy club this past weekend. As usual the event attracts some of Europe’s fastest drivers to battle it out in the Touring Modified and Touring Stock classes. The 2018 edition made no exception and in the premier Touring Modified class it was Germany’s Yannic Prümper who lead a Yokomo 1-2-3 after the qualifiers with fellow countrymen Ronald Völker and Christopher Krapp completing the top 3 as Marc Rheinard and Thimo Weissbauer came in 4th and 5th.

Over in Touring Stock it was Awesomatix’s Olivier Bultynck with the TQ from a hard-charging Max Mächler (Awesomatix) and Yokomo’s Martin Hofer.

In the triple Modified A-mains it was Yannic who took a narrow win from Ronald in A1 as Marc Rheinard completed the top 3, however the early overall win for Yannic was denied by Ronald in A2 who scored the win some three seconds in front of his teammate. Christopher Krapp would come in 3rd in the second A-main. A3 then held some drama for the runner-up after the qualifiers, Ronald Völker as he scored a DNF while Yannic took the win from Marc Rheinard for the overall victory. Ronald would end the day on the 2 spot from Infinity’s Marc Rheinard in 3rd.

In the Stock class Olivier Bultynck started the race for the win with a victory in the opening leg only to become a narrow 2nd behind Max in A2. In the third and final A-main again a very narrow finish would decide the overall in favour of Olivier who ended the leg see 0.3 seconds in front of teammate Max. Overall it was Olivier with the win from Max 2nd and Martin Hofer 3rd.
