Tyrolean Championship Rd2 – Report

Round 2 of the Tyrolean Championship was hosted by the RCCÖ club and held in Umhausen. Like the previous round the race was held in four electric on-road classes and in the Touring Modified category, that attracted a total of six entries all of which were in a position to win or at least finish on the podium, it was Thomas Rinner with error-free runs that award him the overall win from Aaron Tursky 2nd and Markus Fleischmann 3rd.

The strongest class of the weekend was Touring Stock, attracting 19 entries. Marco Siegenthaler, Beni Stutz and Marco Egger fought for the top positions all day and following some difficulties during the qualifiers it was Marco Siegenthaler with the overall win from Marco Egger 2nd and Benni Stutz 3rd.

The Formula class attracted a somewhat low entry of only four drivers. Nevertheless all of them here in a position to fight for the top spots and in the end it were Lukas Reiter, Christian Stöckl and Martin Stöckl that fought for the overall. Ultimately it was Martin with the win in A3 and the overall from Christian and Lukas as Sigi Costa suffered a failure on his car that prevented him from attending the last two A-mains.

Another strong class, with 14 entries, was the Histocup with great and tight battles in the A and B-mains. Ultimately it was a 4-horse race between Markus Fleischmann, Manuel Gritsch, Stefan Santer and Aaron Tursky. In the end Aaron came out on top in the final main for the overall with Stefan and Manuel in 2nd and 3rd.

The next round of the series will be held at the AMC Tirol club in Keratin on the 4th and 5th of August.

Thanks to Christian Stöckl for the report.
