BRCA Electric Touring Car Nationals Rd4 – Report

Round 4 of the BRCA Touring Car Series was hosted by the Halifax club, with the two Stock classes already decided in favour of Zak Finlay and Colin Jackson the main focus was on the battle for the coveted Modified title. Coming into Halifax Elliott Harper and Olly Jefferies were tied at the top of the Modified points table, Jefferies had made the better start to the season but it was Harper that arrived at Halifax as the pre-race favourite after a strong showing at rounds 2 and 3. After some weeks of great weather in the UK the Halifax national kicked off under almost monsoon conditions and Elliott Harper took the first round of qualifying, Jefferies bounced back in round 2 and went on to take TQ ahead of Harper, Alan Bickerstaff Chris Grainer and Alexander Hagberg.

In the Modified A-final it was two straight wins for Olly Jefferies giving him the overall win which was enough to take the national Modified title and the successful defence of his title, Elliott chased hard and put up a spirited fight but on this occasion the Schumacher driver had to settle for second ahead of Xray’s Alexander Hagberg.
