CTS3 finale – Report

Once again the final round of the CTS3 was held at Speedworld Raceway in Roseville, California. As the points chase tightens up for the last round, racers brought their best game. In Modified Rick Hohwart led the series with Brandon Clements and David Jun tied for 2nd. In qualifying it was Brandon who locked up TQ and a die-hard finish to the end with applied pressure by Hohwart who then had bad luck on 2nd to last lap allowing Jun to get by but Jun ran out of time allowing Clements to clinch the overall title as he is crowned the 2018 CTS3 Champion for Modified Touring.

In 17.5 Clements led the series with a huge gap in points with Lex Tyler in 2nd. In qualifying Clements showed pace and decided to sit Q3 locking up TQ. In the main Ryan Crabtree had P2 with JD Ramsey in P3. At the start the two collided allowing Lex Tyler to get by clean and from tone to tone Tyler would secure the win. Once again it was Brandon Clements taking the overall championship title in 17.5 with Lex Tyler in 2nd and JD Ramsey in 3rd.
