Hansen & Stub-Holm take Danish National titles

Last weekend the final round of the Danish Nitro On-road Championship was held at the high speed track of Næstved model Racing club. In the 1/8th class it was Martin N.O Hansen who set the pace, and claimed the TQ spot by winning three qualifying rounds. Henrik Christensen lined up in 2nd and Bo Nielsen had to settle for the 3rd spot after the qualifiers. Going into the 30-minute final Martin N.O looked to be under pressure from Henrik and Bo, as they had set a high pace and were pushing Martin until some traffic that went wrong and left Bo in the grass with a damaged rear tyre, Henrik was still on the same lap as Martin, but was unlucky when he was lapping a slower car, as he ran a little too wide which sent him airborne and damaged his car and body. This allowed Martin N.O Hansen (ARC/Novarossi/Contact) to take the win five laps in front of Henrik Christensen (Shepherd/Novarossi/Contact) in 2nd and Bo Nielsen (Infinity/Kabuto/Ulti) 3rd. That is how they also finished in the championship.

In the 1/10th class it was Claus Ryeskov who set the pace, by claiming the TQ position after the qualifying rounds. Patrick Danielsen lined up in 2nd and Lars Stub-Holm had to settle for the 3rd spot after the qualifiers. Going into the 30-minute final Claus looked to finish like he started, but it was after the start that Patrick and Lars was on a high pace and closing in on Claus. Just before the first round of stops Lars took the lead and did not look back, since he was on different pitstop strategy. This allowed Lars Stub-Holm (Xray/Orcan/Matrix) to take the win four lap in front of Claus Ryeskov (Xray/Orcan/Contact) in 2nd a lap down is Patrick Danielsen (Xray/Orcan/Contact) in 3rd.

In the overall championship, Lars secured the championship with his second win of the season with Claus Ryeskov in 2nd and Rene Kellerup in 3rd.

Thanks to the Martin N.O Hansen & Lars Stub-Holm for the reports.
