HPI Racing introduce Jumpshot V2.0 ST & MT

Available soon from HPI Racing are the new Jumpshot ST and MT V2.0 1/10th scale 2WD trucks. Both feature a brand new look, tougher drivetrain gears, a more powerful motor and upgraded steering and suspension parts, plus a larger and easier to access battery box. Also the motor is now upgraded to an extra-powerful 12-turn, 550-size machinery and punchier gearing for extra speed and acceleration. With a T-plug battery connection, it’s also easy to instantly fit a LiPo battery. No word yet on a release date.

Xray XT2C’19 2WD stadium truck – Coming soon

Coming soon from Xray is the XT2C’19 1/10th scale 2WD stadium truck kit. Sharing the same platform as the recently introduced XT2D’19 Dirt Spec kit, the Carpet Spec truck is understood to be a dedicated variant for medium to ultra high grip astro turf and carpet tracks. Full details will surface in time for the release.

Arena T4’19 2.3mm carbon fibre chassis

Coming from Arena and made for the Xray T4’19 touring car is a 2.3mm carbon fibre chassis plate. Cut from high-quality material and being 0.1mm thicker the plate offers increased stiffness, making it ideal for medium-high traction asphalt and carpet tracks. In addition the chassis is also meant to be more durable due to being thicker.

Fenix Classique alloy velocity stacks

Fenix have introduced a set of aluminium velocity stacks for their Classique formula car kit. The items are made to decorate the mock-up V8 engine that is part of the body shell, greatly upping the scale effect and visual impact. Included in the set is lightweight mounting hardware, making the parts a direct fit.

Luke Duthie takes Australian 1/8th On-road title

The Australian IC Track Nationals were held in Melbourne last week in challenging weather conditions. In the 1/8th IC Track class it was Steven Jovanovic (Capricorn) with the TQ from Mugen’s Jeff Hamon. In the 45-minute A-main event however it was Infinity’s Luke Duthie who would prevail, taking the win some four laps in front of Shepherd’s Ric Bartolozzi on the runner-up spot. Leigh Dytor (Mugen) would complete the top 3 podium result.

Roapex Roller & Paddle 1/8th buggy tyres

Coming from HRC Distribution are the new Roapex Roller and Paddle tyres for 1/8th off-road buggies. The Roller his an off-road tyre with a medium-size multi square pin tread that is usable in a variety of track conditions from loose to dusty while the Paddle is a dedicated sand and snow tyre thanks to its special paddle-style tread. The tyres come as pairs and mounted on black or chrome-black wheels and they fit most 1/8th off-road buggies with 17mm wheel hex adapters.

Team Raffee TRX-4 rubber body details

Team Raffee have introduced four new sets of rubber body details for the Traxxas TRX-4 trail truck. The range includes a 2-piece set of hood vents, a 2-piece set of hood hinges, a 6-piece door hinge set and a 4-piece set of door handles. All come in eluding mounting hardware such as nuts, bolts or double-sided tape.

Tom Firsching wins 1/12th Stock at 2018 U.S. Indoor Champs

The 39th running of the famed U.S. Indoor Championships was held in Cleveland last weekend. The event presented some new motor and gearing rules for several classes designed to level the playing field and each competitor received a motor and only one gear selection was allowed. CRC drivers dominated the 1/12th 17.5 class qualifying, with a 1-2-3 sweep. Tom Firsching, Dana Bailes and Mark Calandra grabbed the top 3 positions after four rounds of qualifying. In the A-main, Tom Firsching would be steady and smooth, fending off an early full-fledged assault from teammate Dana Bailes. The top 2 would have a titanic battle with Tom hanging tough and Dana doing an incredible job trying to find his way around Tom without any contact. John Wiita would work his way into 2nd position to make it a CRC 1-2 on the podium while Team Associated’s Joe Trandell rounded off the podium.
