Tamiya release new TRF419 XR optionals

Tamiya have announced the soon release of a couple of new optional parts for the TRF419 XR as well as some general accessories. First up is a 2mm 7075 aluminium lower chassis plate for the TRF419 XR. The chassis was developed for the use on high-bite surfaces such as carpet and prepped asphalt. It offers higher torsional rigidity than the carbon chassis for improved handling in high-grip conditions. The chassis is best used with the 1.75mm carbon fibre upper deck and comes black anodised for wear and looks.

As for the 1.75mm carbon fibre upper deck, the part is of the same shape as the original 2.0mm top deck, however due to being 0.25mm thinner, it offers increased flex which comes in handy when running the above aluminium chassis. The 1.75mm deck is also usable with the standard carbon fibre chassis when running in very low-grip conditions. Also new is a 4-piece blank piston set for Tamiya’s TRF SSBB shock absorbers. The pistons offer six pre-dimpled hole locations that allow to create custom pistons using Tamiya’s #42304 0.9mm to 1.3mm piston drill set or any other fine drills. The pistons are made of high-quality POM material, they are 2.1mm thick and feature an 11mm diameter. A new general accessory is the 4-piece servo screw set, stepped aluminium fasteners that interlock with the steering servo’s case lashes in order to prevent the servo from moving in hard crashes. The screws are machined from high-quality material, they come blue anodised and work with most 1/10th scale servos. Last but not least comes an aluminium cover for Tamiya’s standard servo saver. The cover will reinforce the servo saver assembly while adding visual impact.
