Isergin & McMillan win Victorian State Titles

The regional town of Mildura hosted the 2019 Victorian State Titles recently, with over 100 entries keen to race on the famous red clay outdoors off-road track. The surface developed a fantastic blue groove during practice with a naturally bumpy character to challenge chassis setup and driving skill. In 2WD Mod Buggy, 14 years old Jordan Isergin took the TQ and win in the finals – his first Modified class state title. Completing the podium were Jack McMillan (18) and Lachlan Munday (13), all running Team Associated machinery.

4WD Modified Buggy again was a battle of the younger racers, this time McMillan taking TQ from Lachlan Munday. After taking a final each, it was McMillan taking the title from Lachlan, both driving their B64Ds. Joining them on the podium was Ray Munday with the debut of the B74 on this surface, which also set the fastest lap time of the event.

Ben Howard took the Stock class double TQ and double win with his Associated buggies in both 2WD 17.5 and 4WD 13.5. In the Junior class (2WD 17.5 under 16), Angus Browne (10) took TQ, but in the finals it was Kane Schembri (10) who took the win, Angus finishing 2nd.
