Polish Off-road Nationals Rd2 – Report

Last weekend the second round of the Polish Off-road Nationals was held in Murowana Goslina, right next to the city of Poznan. Lots of rain before the week of the event meant the club’s track crew had to work hard to prepare a race-worthy surface and layout, but ultimately everything worked out very well with the track meeting the high demands of the racers. The slightly wet track grooved in nicely during Friday’s practice session and remained in perfectly dust-free, high traction and unbroken condition during the whole racing weekend, ensuring great competition without being too sensitive to car and tyre setups. Racing-wise and in the 1/8th Nitro Buggy class it was Bartek Zalewski with the TQ and win from Donat Bula and Tomasz Gadnicki.

1/8th Nitro Truggy saw the win of Rafal Ilendo after some very clean driving in the finals, from top qualifier, Michal Tronowski in 2nd. Tomasz Gadnicki would complete the top 3 result.

1/8th Electric Buggy saw Bartek Zalewski scoring another TQ and win as Pawel Hert and Jaroslaw Poniatowski came in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

2WD Buggy was dominated by local driver Mateusz Studzizba who made a clean sweep by winning first two A-mains. Dejan Bosnjakovic would obtain the runner-up spot from Wojciech Jachowski 3rd.

In 4WD Buggy it was a close fight between Jachowski Wojciech, Dejan Bosnjakovic and Tomasz Kuliński. Each of the podium drivers won an A-main each, but the overall win went to Jachowski Wojciech from Dejan Bosnjakovic and Tomasz Kulinski

Thanks to Maciej Nowak for the report.
