RC Maker introduces new A800X carbon fibre optionals

Coming from RC Maker are three new carbon fibre optionals for the Awesomatix A800X touring car. First up are some crazy looking bulkhead flex dampeners. The parts allow for two in-between settings, complementing the optional no-brace and straight link settings. Made from super thin 3K carbon, they attach to the bulkheads directly and provide consistent dampening (restriction) of the flex at the front of the front bulkheads in every direction. There are two different stiffeners included, the larger sized one provides the most flex of the two, but still reduces the flex here by around 50 percent. The smaller one is stiffer, and reduces the flex by roughly 70 percent. Using the parts will make for improved overall consistency especially with the MMCX conversions.

Also new are 2mm carbon fibre roll centre shims for the A800X using LA arms. Consisting of four 2mm plates, the set allows tuning from +2mm and is very effective along with the use of RC Maker’s 0.5mm and 1mm shim kit which then allows roll centre all the way from 0.5mm to 3.5mm. The plates also have a front and a rear, with cutouts to distinguish them, due to the hole spacing being wider in the front. They slide in without the removal of the screw, allowing to slide out the old and in the new in a matter of seconds. Last but not least come the HD carbon suspension arms clips for the A800 and older A700 cars. Constructed from 0.8mm thick 3K carbon fibre, these clips feature a sturdier attachment to the P03 ball cup, causing less failures and less unfinished races due to clips popping off. They are a direct replacement to Awesomatix’s P07’s, and also feature a 1.5mm hole for easy removal from the P03 arm cups. The clips come in set of ten pieces.
