JJ Wang doubles at KO Propo Grand Prix

Steel City Raceway of Fontana, California played host to the 2019 KO Propo Grand Prix this past weekend. Held in various fuel and electric classes it was Mugen’s JJ Wang with the overall TQ and also the win in the 1/8th Open IC Track category. Veteran racer, Mike Swauger (Xray) came in 2nd, some two laps down on JJ as Infinity driver Christian Lopez rounded out the top 3, only a second behind Mike.

The 1/10th 200mm Sedan class had Mike Swauger (Xray) taking the overall TQ, however it was 11th place qualifier, Bryce Butterfield (Xray) with a popular win in the 30-minute A-main from Walter Diaz (Serpent) on the runner-up spot. Top qualifier, Mike Swauger came in 3rd overall.

Over in the Electric Touring Modified class it was JJ Wang who made a clean sweep by taking the overall TQ and also the win in the opening two A-mains for his second title this weekend. Lex Tyler came in 2nd from up and coming Jacob Cruz in 3rd to round out an all-Xray podium.
