RC Maker A800 GeoCarbon heavy duty steering limiters

RC Maker have introduced their new heavy duty steering limiters for the Awesomatix A800 touring cars. With the design based off the brand’s super successful original lightweight cam steering limiters, these heavy duty ones are solid and 1.6mm thick making them more durable against crashing, especially on harsh indoor tracks. Adjusting steering lock is an incredibly important tuning option, and one that is not simply done with reducing the dual rate on the transmitter. These provide a “stopper” which is a much more effective way of limiting your steering lock. The limiters provide four different steering lock settings thanks to the offset cam style design, which allows locks ranging from 22 deg inside to 29 deg inside (with the AM14LS, 1mm Ackerman + 1 deg toe out) simply by loosening the main screw, rotating the plate and re-tightening the screw. The set includes two limiters and it is available now.

JConcepts Ellipse stadium truck tyres

JConcepts have announced the release of the Ellipse stadium truck tyres in Aqua and Silver compound. The Ellipse, named after the center bar built into the tread, is a compliment to successful tires such as the Dirt Webs and Space Bars. The “web” style tire was built to compete on smooth high-grip indoor and outdoor surfaces which require a finely detailed connected bar pattern. The center section of the tire is a home run utilizing a diamond “home plate” footprint to provide massive forward bite and increased longevity. The web of extensions are unique and have a directional touch giving the racer the ultimate tune-ability. The Ellipse has already won a Stock National title in the hands of Matthew Gonzalez at the 2019 JConcepts Stock Nationals at OCRC Raceway. The compound of choice for most indoor events, the exclusive gold compound, has shown to produce consistent results for racers week after week. Now, the Ellipse is also available in aqua and silver compound. Included in each package are the Dirt-Tech closed cell inserts.

The 7th and final round of the Danish 1/8th Off-road Nationals was held at the Greve RC Center last weekend. Due to heavy rain the E-Buggy and Nitro Truggy portion of the event had to be cancelled but luckily the track dried up for Sunday so the Nitro Buggy race would be held at planned. After some entertaining qualifiers it was Daniel Bubel with the overall TQ and after the semis it was again Daniel on top with Peter Harder starting from P2. At the start of the main final there was some tight racing between the top 3. Some minutes into the race Peter was able to take the lead from Daniel and get away from the pack in a dominating and consistent matter. Behind him, Daniel Bubel and Nikolai Lamberts would switch back and forth leading and defending. But a flameout from Daniel would see Nikolai move up to 2nd place and this is how the race ended with Daniel in 3rd.
