RC Maker A800 chassis weight options

Coming from RC Maker are several new chassis weight options for the Awesomatix A800 touring car. First up are the Weight Shift LCG chassis weights for the front and the rear of the car. The weights help to adjust the feeling of the car as they feature three different mounting holes that allow to run them in an inner, middle or outer setting with the inward setting increasing the car’s response, offering less chassis roll while the outwards setting increases overall traction with more roll. In addition the weights can also be run at an asymmetric setting to fine-tune left-to-right weight balance. The sets also include carbon fibre shims for shimming the weight off the chassis to increase flex but the weights can also be screwed directly to the chassis without any shim to reduce flex. The Weight Shift sets are available separately for the front and the rear and they are usable with the Awesomatix A800X, EVO, MMCX, and MMX kits.

Also new are two LCG floating ESC plates in an all-brass and a mixed brass and carbon variant. They were designed to add weight in areas where it is needed the most. The floating ESC Plate allows to remove any impact that the ESC has on the chassis flex. Mounting off the rear weight hole, it floats the entire ESC meaning no flex impact and also super easy changing of the ESC in and out of the car. The brass set weights 10g in total, however this can be increased by adding RC Maker’s optional ESC weight plate which is 12g, to make a total of 22g. This extra weight is particular handy when using the new generation of Lightweight LCG ESC’s, or if using a normal ESC without a fan. As for the lightweight carbon variant, this option weighs in at 5g in total with the optional brass plate bringing it to 17g if needed.
