Redcat International Scout II Gen8 AXE Edition crawler

Redcat Racing have introduced their new International Scout II Gen8 AXE Edition RTR crawler. The vehicle is the world’s first Ready-to-Run scale crawler using a brushless motor and ESC as it features a Hobbywing Xerun sensored AXE system including a brushless motor and ESC, Reefs RC 422HD V2 metal gear waterproof servo, and Flysky GT5 6 channel radio. The new Gen8 AXE is all about precision control, as well as durability. The Reefs 422HD V2 steering servo has an extremely high 30kg-cm torque rating for ultimate steering power, while its digital coreless motor offers incredible precision. All of this power and precision is transferred through steel internal gears for durability. This allows the driver to manoeuvre the Gen8 AXE through the toughest obstacles with precision and authority.

The Gen8 AXE also offers total control when throttling through nasty terrain. Not only does the Hobbywing power system offer brushless power, it’s also sensored. Having a sensored motor system in a rock crawler is a game changer. This allows ultra smooth throttle response for the most precise trigger movements. Another outstanding feature of the Gen8 AXE is the ability to change ESC settings on the fly, while in the middle of a course or trail. Thanks to the Gen8 AXE Edition’s Bluetooth connectivity, drivers can adjust the ESC parameters directly from their connected smartphone. The truck is a highly competitive rock crawler that includes many performance features such as: C-channel frame rails, low centre of gravity battery tray, centrally mounted divorced transfer case, lockable slipper clutch, portal axles with metal gear covers, MOD-1 gears, machined aluminium spools, front CVAs, 32 rubber-sealed ball bearings, threaded aluminium shocks, 47 degrees steering blocks with proper Ackerman, Panhard bar, LED-ready bumpers, winch-ready front bumper, and frame mounted floor pans. The truck is topped off by a highly detailed fully licensed International Scout II body, hard plastic grill, plastic folding mirrors, moulded inner and outer fenders, shackle mount front bumper, receiver hitch ready rear bumper, and plastic rock sliders. The Gen8’s body and bumpers are ready to have LED lights installed. The Gen8 AXE Edition has other enhancements over the standard Gen8 as well. These enhancements include a new convertible style body with full roll cage, a pair of plastic injected moulded seats, dashboard, steering wheel, gear shifts; plus an included by not installed spare tire and soft top.
