RC Maker Geo carbon wheel arch and skirt tool

New to RC Maker’s new Geo Carbon range of products, is this unique wheel arch tool, which not only gives a template for the body’s wheel arches, but also sets the skirt height for the body based off axle height. After locating the axle with the body mounted, modellers can simply trace around the entire carbon fibre template, which provides both a wheel arch line and a skirt cutting line. The template also features an elongated slot unlike its predecessor, allowing to accurately offset the wheel arch to prevent tucking in the rear of the wheel.

2019 Nuremberg Toyfair – Tamiya

Another iconic brand, beside Kyosho, is definitely Tamiya, who more or less fully concentrate on the hobby sector these days. A crowd pleaser might be the classic 1980’s Audi Quattro that is showcased as a prototype. It is understood that the body will be used for the usual breed of entry-level chassis, including the TT-02, and we really hope to see more scale-looking wheels on the final product. Other news include the Citroen 2CV Rally on M-05Ra chassis, the Lunch Box Red Edition re-release, the Toyota 4×4 Pick-Up Mountain Rider limited edition re-issue, the Comical Hornet on the WR-02CB stunt chassis, the Volkswagen Type 2 T1 M-06, the HKS Nissan Skyline GT-R Gr.A TT-01 Type-E limited edition, the Tyrrell P34 Six Wheeler 1977 Monaco GP Special Edition painted body limited edition, as well as the Ford Mustang GT4 TT-02. Also coming is M-07R chassis kit with lots of option parts as well as the Dual Rider trike, a more futuristic version of the popular Dancing Rider.

2019 Nuremberg Toyfair – Kyosho

The 2019 edition of the Nuremberg International Toyfair is kicking this Wednesday. Having lost most of its former glory during the recent years, with more and more brands opting for a no-show because of the high costs and other reasons, this year’s event makes no exception, however it makes the return of Kyosho to the show. For the competition racer, the highlight of the booth might be the recently introduced Inferno MP10 1/8th nitro buggy, however the vintage racer might adore the return of the mighty Turbo Optima, Kyosho’s must-have mid-1980’s competition buggy. The 2019 re-release however might not please everybody as the buggy features updated gold shock absorbers with threaded big bore shock bodies, something the purist might not like as the original standard bore shocks were of a clamping design with plain bodies. Other updates may be found underneath, however we currently lack body-off shots. Noticeable beside the larger shocks are the 1.97″ (50mm) wheels and tyres. These are original low profile Kyosho Option House wheels. The tyre pattern is similar to original pattern but modified for modern track surfaces. No news for now on a release date but we keep you posted. Update: In the meantime more images became available highlighting golden anodised chassis parts, a belt-driven drivetrain front and rear anti-roll bars, as well as more details of the new big bore shock absorbers.
