2020 Nuremberg Toy Fair – Tamiya

The 2020 Nuremberg International Toy Fair kicked off today. Formerly known as the most important fair when it comes to everything toys and radio control, this importance has took some knocks during the last decade down to a situation that only a handful of big players are daring the annual trip to Germany’s “toy city” to present their forthcoming new products. One of them however is Tamiya who show some nice new kits – but nothing really race-worthy to be frank. Certainly a crowdpleaser is the forthcoming GF-01CB Comical Avante buggy, the latest addition to Tamiya’s popular Comical buggy line-up.

Also coming in 2020 are the SW-01 MudMad, an addition to the Lunchbox Mini stunt truck while the 2020 Terra Scorcher buggy will be greatly welcomed by the vintage buggy scene for sure. Speaking of re-releases, Tamiya will re-issue the TA03R-S short wheelbase chassis topped off with the road-going Porsche 911 GT1 body. Other noteworthy items include the TT-01E Mercedes-Benz Tankpool24 truck as well as the TT-02 Type-SR chassis kit, a hopped-up version of the popular TT-02 entry level chassis that comes equipped with an adjustable rear suspension mount and updated steering linkage flanged tubes.
