Micha Widmaier sweeps 2020 Köngen Indoor Masters

The 2020 edition of the popular Köngen Indoor Masters was held in southern Germany last weekend, attracting nearly 140 entries. In 2WD Modified Buggy Micha Widmaier, Florian Kappes and Luca Rau battled it out for the overall TQ with Micha ultimately taking the overall TQ thanks to winning two qualifying rounds while Florian and Luca scored a round TQ each. The triple A-mains saw Micha winning the opening leg while Luca Rau won A2 as Micha scored a DNF. With the only 21-laps run in A3, Micha put things straight again, taking the overall from Luca Rau in 2nd and Jens Becker in 3rd.

Over in 4WD Modified Buggy it was again Micha with the overall TQ after winning two of the four qualifiers with Jens Becker putting his buggy on the 2 spot on the grid. The opening A-main had Micha posting another DNF with Florian Kappes taking the win from Jens in 2nd. A2 and A3 then had Micha taking pretty dominants wins for his second overall title while Jens Becker and Florian Kappes came in 2nd and 3rd respectively.
