RSD X20 standard carbon top deck & bulkhead braces

Reflex Racing have introduced more option parts for the Serpent X20 mid motor touring car. First up is a 2.0mm upper deck cut from standard carbon fibre. The top deck offers different flex characteristics than RSD’s Quasi carbon fibre deck, as it flexes similar to the 1.5mm Quasi deck side to side, but is stiffer fore and aft, giving the car a little more forward bite. The top deck is designed to increases response, gear selection range and belt clearance while being more durable than stock version and it comes with a matte surface finish to differentiate.

Also new are carbon fibre bulkhead braces for the X20. These were developed in order to change the flex characteristics of the chassis. By bracing the bulkheads at the top deck screws, the flex points of the chassis are moved closer to the centre line, which increases high speed stability and control. Additionally the braces provide more on power traction at whichever end they are being used. When using both braces, the car will stay a little bit flatter at high speed, will be easier on tyres, the response will increase in tight corners and the car will be easier to drive in sweeping corners. On the X20, as a bonus, the increased rigidity of the bulkheads protects the pulleys and top decks.
