Isaacs, Anderson & Hebert win at ROAR Carpet Nats

The 2020 ROAR Carpet On-road Nationals were held at APEX Raceway and Hobbies in Murfreesboro, Tennessee this past weekend, attracting nearly 160 entries for the multiple 1/10th and 1/12th scale classes. The Touring Modified class saw Awesomatix driver, Sam Isaacs taking the overall TQ after the three rounds of qualifying from Xray’s Keven Hebert in 2nd. Andrew Ellis came in 3rd on the grid. A1 of the triple A-mains had Sam taking the win some six seconds in front of Keven, the latter striking back in A2 as Sam only scored a 4th place finish. However, the pole position holder put things straight again in A3 and with a win in front of Keven, Sam grabbed the overall title from Keven in 2nd while 4th place qualifier, Kemp Anderson (Awesomatix) came in 3rd overall.

The Touring 17.5T Stock class had Kemp Anderson (Awesomatix) taking the overall TQ from Xray’s Brandon Clements in 2nd. A1 and A2 of the finals again saw Kemp leading the way for the overall title as Brandon Clements took the win in the final A-main. This however wasn’t enough to fend off Andrew Ellis who (Awesomatix) who snatched the overall runner-up spot from Brandon in 3rd.

Over in 1/12th scale Modified it was Keven Hebert who lead the way both in qualifying and the triple A-mains. Taking wins in the opening two A-mains allowed him to sit out A3 that was won by Sam Isaacs, who cement his overall runner-up position from Kemp Anderson in 3rd overall.
