Dimitris Ioannidis takes double Greek EP Off-road title

The Fanatix Racing Track in Athens, Greece held the 2020 Greek 1/10th Electric Off-road Championship this past weekend. Only a single-race championship due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the event would decide this year’s 2WD and 4WD Buggy champions and in 2WD Dimitris Ioannidis (Xray) took the pole position for the finals in front of Greek RC legend Konstantinos Agrafiotis (Xray) and young gun Andreas Koutras (Team Associated). In the finals, Ioannidis was able to take the win in the first two legs, crowning him the 2020 2WD champion early with Agrafiotis and Koutras battling it out for the remaining podium spots with Agrafiotis ultimately securing 2nd position overall.

In the 4WD class, it was Ioannidis who battled it out with Paparegas. In the end Ioannidis was able to take the pole position in front of multi-time Greek champion Tasos Paparegas (Xray). In leg 1 Tasos was able to take the win after Ioannidis made a costly error in the closing stages. But the remaining two legs were won by Ioannidis who put on a show with Tasos, with fantastic fights in each leg, awarding him the 2020 4WD championship title with experienced Ilias Arkoudaris (Tekno) finishing 3rd overall.
