Kostas Sidiropoulos takes Greek Nitro GT title

The 2020 Greek 1/8th Nitro GT Championship was held at the Fanatix Racing Track in Athens this past weekend. The race attracted a total of 17 entries and was held in hot summer weather conditions. In qualifying Kostas Sidiropoulos (SWorkz) was able to take the pole position in front of Michalis Xristodoulou (Mugen) and Konstatinos Terlepanis (Serpent). In the 45-minute A-final Sidiropoulos took an early lead showing good pace but nitro newcomer Dimitris Ioannidis (Xray) was able to take advantage of his long stints to take the lead for a couple of laps before retiring with a mechanical failure. From that moment on Sidiropoulos established himself in the lead, lapping the field twice to take the win and with it the 2020 Greek Nitro GT title. Starting from 8th on the grid Konstatinos Agrafiotis (Xray) finished on a popular 2nd place with Konstatinos Terlepanis rounding out the podium.
