Max Götzl doubles at Czech Open Series Rd3

Round 3 of the Czech Open Series was held at the new Horni Jeleni track in nitro and electric off-road classes. Rain before the event meant the track crew had to work hard to ensure proper track conditions but in the end everything worked out and a good preparation made for a level playing field. In the Nitro Buggy class Xray’s Max Götzl would win his semifinal A with about a 3-lap margin over the 2nd place driver so he took the pole for the main in front of Tomas Kapicka and Radim Kolek. The main final, that was held in mixed weather conditions, then saw Max again out in front and he took the win with a huge gap over 2nd placed Tomas Kapicka (Kyosho) and 3rd placed Jan Hujer (Kyosho).

Over in E-Buggy it was again Max out front in A1 and A2 for an early overall win. Due to the rain it was decided to skip A3 and it was Ales Bidovsky (Team Associated) with the overall runner-up spot from Jiri Dvorak (Mugen) in 3rd.
