Bayer joins electronics newcomer Elceram

New RC electronics manufacturer Elceram has announced the signing of offroad racer Martin Bayer who will race their products in 2023.  Announcing his departure from Hobbywing recently, the former 1:10 European Champion joins the new start-up from his native Czech Republic and will use in his Xray buggies their first ‘Nitride’ ESC which has been specifically developed for RC car use.  Commenting on the announcement Bayer said, “I am very happy to be able to join such a professional company as Elceram.  Elceram is a company founded in Czech Republic, where all their products are developed and manufactured.  It is an honour for me to be able to compete and collaborate on the development with a company which is from my home country.  After testing NITRIDE for the first time, I was impressed with the performance, quality and ease of use.  I think NITRIDE is a game changer in the market.”

Elceram has more than 50 years of experiences with producing ceramic parts and ceramic printed circuits boards (PCBs), hybrid integrated circuits, sensors, power electronic modules and special electronic components for electronics and microelectronics for many different industries.   They have now decided to capitalise on that experience for development and production of special power modules, such as ESC, designed specially for RC driving as well.  On the signing of Bayer they said, “Elceram is very appreciated and happy to welcome the world-class driver Martin Bayer, who will represent our products at all national and international races.  Martin joins ELCERAM in final phase of testing of our brand new product – Electronic Speed Controller NITRIDE.  Martin will collaborate on the development and we are convinced that with Martin’s experiences we are able to get our products to the world class in RC.”

Their first brand new product and the first one that was developed specially for RC cars is Nitride 1:10,  a new generation electronic speed control for BLDC motors.  Using Advanced Cooling Technology based on Aluminium Nitride Ceramic, Nitride is characterised by excellent thermal conductivity and at the same time it is the first ESC with TFT LCD colour display ever.  This properties provides Nitride revolutionary features:

  • Realtime monitoring: battery voltage, ESC and Motor temperatures, etc.

  • Easy check before the race: motor temperature, sensor cable, battery, etc.

  • Post-race data evaluation, no other interface needed

  • Easy programming: throttle, brake, timing, hall angle, top speed and many other functions

  • Race data logging, temperature and other curves, histograms and more.
