Heroes Winter Cup – Report

The 2nd season of the Heroes Winter Cup just ended, a championship of 5 outdoor races that takes place in the middle of the freezing winter on the GAMES track in Segrate near Milan, Italy.  Rain, ice, cold, fog weren’t enough to stop the passion and desire to race of a large group of enthusiasts who defied any adverse weather conditions in order to participate.  The rules are very simple, the same combo for everyone (Robitronic Razer 3000kV), fixed Ratio 6.0, Porsche bodyshell and plastic chassis with shaft drive (Rally Legend, Carten T410, Tamiya TT02, Yokomo SD Sport and many others).  The very soft compound tires (Team Power 26R) did the rest.

Attracting 49 participants in total, coming from all over northern Italy, the drivers run together and in the end there are two separate rankings: the PRO who are the most experienced drivers and the MASTER among which young, inexperienced and gentleman drivers find their place.  At the end of race 5 it was Denny Giacomelli (Rally Legend) who took the overall first place on the podium, second position for Alberto Riboni (Rally Legend) and third for Giulio Borini (Rally Legend). For the MASTER Dayong Turato (Carten T410) wins over Marco Ferrarini (Yokomo SD Sport) and Marco Belloni (Rally Legend). Tight races and thrilling overtakings, all without excesses and without performance anxiety.  Furthermore, numerous drivers have begun to appear in the races with this category, a real nursery of model makers, we will not go extinct!  You can do RC at an excellent level even in winter and even outdoors, now there are no more doubts.
