KO Propo EX-10 Transmitter – First Look

Japanese radio manufacturer KO Propo has just given its new EX-10 Transmitter its first public showing at the 64th All Japan Model & Hobby Show.  Sharing one image of the new radio that is on its stand at the Tokyo show, the EX-10 is a unique design by KO Propo, inheriting the DNA of past EX-10 models.  The EX-10 Helios was a legendary high-end radio released in the mid-2000.  The new EX-10 features an adjustable steering angle, a redesigned steering mechanism for a more linear, direct feel,  a high-resolution full-colour LCD, Real-Time ICS adjustment, Customizable front bar and weight balance.  While compatible with existing XT receivers, it uses KO Propo’s new proprietary XT2 communication system and paired with the KR-426XT2 receiver, delivers their fastest response performance ever — with communication speed improved by 20% over previous models.  The EX-10 is set to go on release in December.

High-Resolution Full-Color LCD
The traditional monochrome LCD has been upgraded to a full-color LCD, delivering enhanced visibility and cher graphical expression. The menu structure and graphics have also been completely redesigned to take full advantage of the full-color display. The TOP screen brings together the information needed while driving in an intuitive layout, allowing key data to be checked at a glance.

Real-Time ICS
The EX-10 comes standard with Real-Time ICS, allowing you to adjust compatible ICS devices directly from the transmitter. Various parameters for compatible devices, including servos and MINI-Z models, can be configured directly from the EX-10 without the need for a PC or other external device.

Adjustable Steering Angle to Suit Your Driving Style
The steering angle can be adjusted from 0 to 10 degrees in its standard configuration. By installing the included “ST Angle Holder,” the adjustment range can be expanded to 20 to 30 ST Angle Holder degrees. The ST Angle Holder can be installed as needed, allowing you to fine-tune the steering position to suit your individual driving style and preferences. The steering mechanism has also been completely redesigned to optimize left-to-right balance. Improved initial response further enhances the steering feel, delivering a more linear and direct response to every steering 30° input.

Front Bar for Function and Style
The EX-10 is equipped with a front bar that enhances the structural rigidity of the transmitter. It can also be used as a convenient handle when carrying the transmitter. Removing the front bar reduces weight and shifts the center of gravity closer to the wrist, allowing you to fine-tune the overall balance to suit your preferences.  The standard front bar can also be replaced with optional aluminum or carbon-fiber front bars. From optimizing weight balance to complement your driving style to adding a stylish custom touch, the EX-10 can be tailored to your personal preferences.

KO Propo’s proprietary communication system, “XT,” has evolved into “XT2.”
Combined with the new “KR-426XT2” receiver, the EX-10 delivers the fastest response performance in KOPROPO’s history.  Communication speed has been improved by 20% over previous models, while communication stability has also been further enhanced. By transmitting the driver’s inputs to the car more quickly and reliably, the system responds instantly to even the finest steering and throttle inputs. The combination of high-speed response and stable communication delivers a more direct and comfortable driving feel.

Fully compatible with the MINI-Z EVO 2
The “MINI-Z EVO2 Receiver Unit for KO PROPO (No. 82045)” can be used as is, allowing existing MINI-Z EVO2 users to enjoy the EX-10 without the need for an additional receiver. Experience the EX-10’s high-response performance and precise control with the MINI-Z EVO2. Enjoy a more responsive and comfortable MINI-Z driving experience with the latest KOPROPO transmitter.
