Xray X4F’27 1:10 FWD Touring Car

Xray has presented details of its newest kit offering for the 1:10 FWD Touring Car class, the X4F’27.  Based on a new 2.2mm carbon chassis with rear cut-outs integrated with the carbon flex brace system to provide multiple rear flex settings for different track conditions, key features of the Slovakian manufacturer’s new frontie contender include a new gear differential with lightweight & ultra-reliable design.  New front bulkhead flex adjustment system provides a wide range of flex settings for different track conditions with new one-piece short lower CFF2 suspension arms specially designed for X4F increasing suspension rigidity and improve overall handling, response, and maximum steering.  A new carbon fibre steering plates with optimised geometry and flex characteristics reduces weight and increases mechanical traction while a new carbon fibre ARS plates with two rear link mounting positions optimises rear suspension geometry and flex characteristics, reducing rear suspension weight, and expanding ARS setup adjustment.  Other improvements to the car include updated top decks optimised for flex characteristics and compatible with the optional aluminium braces to expand the flex adjustment alternatives.  New rear bulkhead flex adjustment system provides a wide range of rear flex settings for different track conditions.  Updated 1mm higher shock holders repositioned to complement the updated suspension geometry, increasing suspension travel and providing three flex adjustment positions.

JConcepts Silent Rage, Kosmos, Frizzy, and X-Bite 1:10 Buggy Tyres

JConcepts is wrapping up the final full week of June with a big drop of new tyres for 1:10 Buggy releasing the Silent Rage, Kosmos, Frizzy, and X-Bite.  The Silent Rage was originally designed for the 2023 IFMAR World Championships at Hobby Action Raceway in Arizona.  During the build-up to the world championships, the team felt the open front tire could leave an option to create an advantage for its team drivers and the new tire was specifically designed to have 2 different sidewall heights and depending on conditions, the user could alter the direction for gains.  As it happened, the indoor circuit did not mature as rapidly as thought and the new Silent Rage were never removed from hiding.  This did not stop the development, JConcepts doubled down and created a rear tire in the same fashion. Throughout 2024-2026 the team has tested this concept at tracks across the country with great results on off-road and dirt oval track competition. The composition of the tyre body makes it ideal for high-bite surfaces.  A racer can place the low-profile sidewall toward the inside or outside depending on conditions or stagger for dirt oval or banked conditions.

Takashima D-13 V2 Rear Body Support

Takashima D-13 has released the second generation of its Rear Body Support.  Designed to prevent lightweight body shells from deforming at high speeds while reducing the risk of cracking around the rear wheel arch area, by helping the body shell maintain its intended aerodynamic shape, the support contributes to more consistent downforce, improved durability and stable on-track performance.  The V2 Rear Body Support includes four different wire heights, allowing racers to fine-tune the fitment for various body shells and mounting positions. Designed with a focus on convenience, strength and durability, the system provides effective rear body support while minimising any influence on chassis flex characteristics, ensuring the car retains its intended handling balance and performance.

Singapore’s RCMC resurfacing complete

Having reported on the track works at Singapore’s only permanent track, as the main driving force behind the resurfacing Dayrl Thong has sent us images of the finished RCMC track.  With the last resurfacing work done back in 2014, the latest track work was 100% funded by the local community through a donation drive led by Thong, led both the drive and the entire project.  The entire old track was milled out to allow for a new layer of asphalt to be laid.  Prior to the resurfacing works, all the grass in the islands were dug out, levelled with soil and planted with new grass so fix the potholes and for aesthetics.  With eSIC cancelled this year due to the planned resurfacing works, planning is now underway for the 2027 event.  The 2026 Singapore International Nitro Grand Prix, which will be held the same weekend as the Singapore Formula 1 GP, will be the first major event held at the resurfaced venue.

Hobbywing 21.5 | 25.5T XeRun V10 G5

Having launched its new 13.5T XeRun V10 G5 back in March, Hobbywing has expanded the range with the addition of a 21.5 and 25.5 T option to the 13.5 and 17.5 Torque variants.  Intended for 1:12 and 1:10 Stock racing, the G5 is built on an all-new performance platform with a brand-new structural design exposing the windings for direct heat dissipation, with cooling vent area increased by over 15% compared to it predecessor the G4R.  The G5 motor is also lighter and its centre of gravity is shifted 1.4mm closer to the output shaft for better chassis tuning.  Over the standard G5, the G5 Torque features a higher strength rotor suited for medium to high grip, small to medium sized tracks.

RTRC RTA V3.1 1:28 Chassis Set

Having released the RTA V3 at the end of 2025, France’s RTRC has announced the upcoming release of the V3.1.  Their latest kit offering was developed directly from customer feedback and real-world experience.  Their goal was to address the most common requests from drivers while improving reliability, ease of assembly, and overall performance.  The V3.1 is not a new platform but an evolution of the existing V3, incorporating a series of carefully considered improvements while maintaining the proven foundations of the original design.  To protect their customers’ investment, all V3.1 parts remain fully compatible with the V3 platform, and V3 components can also be used on V3.1 chassis.  One of the key features of the V3.1 kit will be a factory pre-built front end with front arms pre-assembled and hand-finished suspension arms for smooth and consistent steering.  Other updates include new-generation front suspension for improved damping performance and overall handling while a longer central damper post eliminates the need of shims between the chassis and axle and prevents suspension interference with the battery.  A revised side spring brace design allows adjustment of body post mounting positions. carbon tiber parts no longer use nuts. inese have been replaced with pre-installed threaded inserts.  Set for release end of June/early July, RTRC are also working on the release of a conversion kit at a later date.
