Associated returns to 1:12 with RC12R8 Factory Team Kit

Team Associated is returning to 1:12 racing, the American brand announcing the release of the RC12R8 Factory Team Kit.  Absent from the category for a number of years, the RC12R8 is all-new 1:12 electric onroad racing platform developed by Area 51 for top-level competition.  The RC12R8 features a dual chassis design combining hybrid steel and carbon fibre centre chassis with a 2mm 7075-T6 aluminum lower spring chassis.  Its all-new triple central pivot design eliminates tweak while maximising cornering rigidity, providing consistent handling and precise chassis feel without the complexity of traditional rear pod designs.  It also features a dual rotary damper rear suspension with four spring configurations for precise heave and pitch control, while the Advanced Front End offers extensive adjustment for droop, Ackerman, ride height, and camber.  An ultra-lightweight hybrid aluminium and steel spool axle reduces rotating mass for improved acceleration and responsiveness, and a stiff TPU bumper provides protection while supporting increased front aerodynamic load.
