2010 Snowbird Nationals – Announcement

2010 Snowbird Nationals - Announcement

The organizers of the 2010 Snowbird Nationals were in contact to let everyone know that they have finalized all the details for next years event and that everything is official for the 16th running of this great event. Taking place from the 26th to the 31st of January, it will once again be held at the Radisson Resort in Orlando, Florida. The rules and classes are expected to be announced around October with the entry for the race opening in November. More information is on the official site now, with a new race site going live in the coming months.

Picco P-Zero MRX-4 Transmission kit

Picco P-Zero MRX-4 Transmission kit

Italian company Picco, most famous for their engines, have started a new line of optionals called ‘P-Zero optional parts’. Their first product is this lightweight transmission kit for the Mugen MRX-4 1/8th scale, the same car company head Alberto Picco used to win the recent Worlds warm up race. The set, which can also be used with the Kyosho M3 (apart from the solid rear axle), includes the front and rear axles, 4 wheel nuts, 2 front drive cups, the rear solid axle and a set of 8 shims. All parts are made with high quality material and accurately machined to ensure the best match with the current drive shafts. The P-Zero line will also soon include a 1/8th scale on-road clutch, but more details to come on that later.

Ultimate Racing have presented their new range of Pro Racing bearings to satisfy the needs of the most demanding drivers. All bearing kits have been manufactured to optimize the efficiency of all the cars moving parts, minimizing friction. Each bearing comes with 2 different seals, the internal one is made of steel in order to minimize the friction and the external one of rubber, with a new design developed by their tech department, that seals the bearing from water and dirt while still running free. Available as full sets for Associated, Mugen, Kyosho and Losi buggies, they have been lubricated with a high grade Teflon grease.

Nosram Racing Starter Box Evolution

Nosram have released the Racing Starter box Evolution, a specially developed robust and lightweight starter box. Tested and developed by their Worldwide factory team, the new upgraded starter box features a higher positioned starter wheel for faster and more comfortable engine starts. Suitable for starting competition engines from .12 – .32 (2.11 – 5.24ccm), it is driven by a powerful oversized big block 750 motor that is powered by two 7.2v stick packs or an external 12V power supply.
