The Drake was in touch to tell us about his success at last weekend’s RCX show put on by U.S. magazine RCCA. Presented by ‘The Dirt’, a small but challenging track was built to allow some of the best off road racers put on a show for the crowds at the show and in the truggy class it was Adam Drake, driving his Novarossi powered Losi 8ight T 2.0, that took home the win and with it the $500 cash prize.
Duratrax have released the Vendetta Rally, designed to dominate 1/18th scale competition with standard equipment that would be considered upgrades on other RTR racers. It comes supplied with a Duratrax Tactic™ 2.4GHz radio system featuring Secure Link Technology, an adjustable steering rate and throttle and steering trims. Drivers can tweak their way to greater speeds and better handling, with the Vendetta Rally using a wide variety of Vendetta series hop-ups to stay ahead of the pack. Team Titan have released a semi painted version of their popular Blitz Lola R09 1/8th scale body. Available with a nice flame design on the front of the car in green/blue or yellow/orange, the rear of the body and driver is left clear to allow you express your artistic side, however I’m sure most will end up getting a single colour. The Lola 09 has high rear body mounts, providing lots of rear downforce and they have also added 2 small wings in front of each wheel arch for better steering reaction and downforce. The semi painted versions are only available in 0.9mm thickness.

Xceed have announced the release of some new products including this new Xceed tires on black carbon rims. The rims have been from a strong nylon material that has been mixed with carbon fibres to make it both light and strong. Around 15% heavier that Xceed’s lightweight rims but are more stable in high temperatures and of course they look cool. Following on from Xceed’s release of their cleaning gum, they have also released smaller pots of the handy cleaning substance which now come in 100 grams.

New for the Xray T2 chassis from Xray are these 4.9mm alu quick roll-center holders which allow you to make the upper linkage longer in either the front or rear suspension of all T2-based cars. Using the 4.9mm roll-center holders in the front makes the car turn easier and more precisely, while using them in the rear increases steering and cornering speed. Supplied as a pair marked L1 and L2.

Robitronic have released their cloth pit box, following on the trend seen by Hudy and Mugen. Made of stain resistant material, the inner side of the box is complete covered with velcro material, so you can easily and quickly move the inner walls to any position you need. There is enough space for almost all kinds of starter boxes and for for easy access the upper side is open alongside an extra zipped pocket. For Screwdrivers, pliers, brushes or other tools there are 10 straps inside, while on the outer side fuel can, glow starter, temperature gauge, fuel gun, towels and so on find a secure place for transport.
Losi’s new hard case LiPo batteries for 1/10-scale vehicles provide racers with a simple and affordable power upgrade. Each LiPo battery features a protective hard case shell for increased safety and comes pre-wired with an EC3 connector. Available in a wide range of configurations for various applications. Losi also now offers two new LiPo batteries for Losi 1/18-scale vehicles. Their lightweight design enables increased performance, and each battery is pre-wired with a Losi mini-connector. Available in 1300mAh 7.4v 15C and 1300mAh 11.1V 20C versions.
