MLC high performance nitro fuel

L&C Racing, in collaboration with Capricorn, have produced a new type of MLC high performance nitro fuel. The ever increasing performance of the cars together with the tires, puts critical pressure on the engines. Capricorn has developed a new formula of lubricant oil for competition engines and gave the production to L&C racing, resulting in this unique blend of fuel.

Durango DNX408 V2 radio box set

The Durango V2 radio box set is available now as an upgrade for the original DNX408 buggy. The new radio box features an updated design with more room for the receiver and wiring, a neat hinged door for quick and easy battery access and a relocated antenna mount to make access easier.

Associated RC8.2 carbon shock towers

Team Associated have released these new woven carbon-fiber shock towers for the RC8.2 buggy. The front tower is 5mm thick, while the rear is 4mm. These shock towers are lighter than their aluminium Factory Team counterparts, yet they maintain the same optimized geometry as the aluminium versions. Available in May.

FEMCA EP Offroad Champs – Day 1 update

The FEMCA Championships for electric offroad are currently being held in Japan at the Yatabe Arena. The event is open to racers in the FEMCA region which includes all of Asia as well as Australia and New Zealand. Friday saw the first action on the track for the 2wd class with 5 rounds of qualifying with the best 3 to count. The top 6 go direct to the main final and the remaining 4 drivers bump up from the lower final. Following the 5 rounds of qualifying it was Akimoto Kota that took the pole position for Kyosho ahead of Kikuchi Kai driving a Yokomo with Sanpei Tatsuya in 3rd for Kyosho. Meen Vejrak from Thailand is the only non Japanese driver in the top 16 sitting 4th with a Yokomo, Maezumi Satoshi (Tamiya) and Enomoto Keisuke (Yokomo) complete the top 6 direct qualifiers. Tomorrow sees the 4wd qualifying run before the finals are run on Sunday to decide the FEMCA Champion.

Off-road Grand-Prix of Russia – Announcement

The organisers of the biggest annual Indoor Off-Road Race in Russia were in touch to tell us about their event. It will take place from the 13th to 15th of april as a part of the major Toy fair ‘Hobby Expo 2012’ in Moscow and attracts top pilots from Russia, Belarus and Ukraine to battle it out in 11 classes covering OffRoad 1:18, OffRoad 1:10, OffRoad 1:8. The carpet covered track is 30X18 meters size and specially designed for this event and has so far attracted 170 entries, which is around 120 people. Novak Ballistic stators & power connector

Novak now offer three new wound stators for its Ballistic 540 series brushless motors. Available in 10.5-Turn, 13.5-Turn and 17.5-Turn these stators are hand-wound with Novak’s popular red-wire and are epoxy-dipped for higher temperature tolerances for the ultimate performance for top-level racing. Novak also released their Power Connector for heavy-duty applications. Made from high-quality copper, which is gold-plated for the best performance, this plug set is designed for maximum contact between the connector surfaces. The connector features a split-input power plug and heavy-duty receptacles which allows for a clean and tight plug connection for the ultimate power with little to no losses due to resistance and heating.
