Henrique Winik joins Novarossi team

Novarossi Italy have announced that South American Truggy Champion Henrique Winik has joined their factory team. The Brazilian, who won the FAMAR title which in Chile back in October, will run the full range of Italian made engines and pipes during the 2012 season.

LMI Racing Team wins Hildesheim 6 hour

This year the annual six hour endurance race took place in Hildesheim and with more than 36 drivers in about twelve teams the race was building up to be a good one. One of the few requirements this year was the use of GT bodies, which meant that no touring car bodies were allowed at all. Four teams started with a Sakura S by 3-Racing and in these four teams there were big names like European champion Jan Asmer or Bernd Hasselbring, reigning European champion 1/10 scale 40+.

Matt Wolter wins Toys for Joy event

Matt Wolter wins Toys for Joy event

SDRC Raceway in San Diego hosted their 1st Annual Toys for Joy event recently. In addition to helping out needy children in a big way, it was also a great race event. In the highly competitive 1/8th Electric class Tekno RC once again finished on top. Matt Wolter drove his Tekno equipped RC8.2 to 1st place, while in 2nd was class TQ Thomas Jones running a fully Tekno equipped buggy. The final podium spot went to Tekno RC owner Daniel Lewis also running a Tekno equipped buggy. Tekno drivers Ryan Hughes and Zac Burnside took 4th and 5th. A great race for a great cause with great results.

T.O.P. Racing have released some new trackrods for their Sabre FD Mini. Manufactured from aluminium and anodised in red, there is a 100mm version which is a lightweight option for the steering links and there is a 15mm version which is suitable for the camber links.

Alexander Hagberg joins Orcan team

After working closely with Bertram Kessler in 2011, and team driver Dirk Wichnewski, Alexander Hagberg has decided to join the already strong Orcan team. Alex will run the brand’s engines, mufflers and fuel for all his nitro racing in 2012 and will be looking for strong performances at the European Championships in Cassino, Italy and at the World Championships in Bangkok, Thailand. For the 2012 season, the Xray factory driver will use the latest releases from Orcan including the OAGT3-S MH and OAGT3-C MH engines as well as the new muffler OA1910 Plus while for fuel he will use the reliable and race proven OF 2516 Plus.
