Ryan Cavalieri dominates Northern Nationals

The Proving Grounds raceway in Jenison, MI is a fairly new facility in the northern part of the United States, and with a strong group of locals and motivated organizers, the track is looking to put itself on the map. This past weekend the facility played host to the Third Annual Northern Nationals, and together with the event organizer, Team Associated arranged for World Champion Ryan Cavalieri to attend.

Contact tyres have introduced a new range of pre-glued 1/12th scale tires suitable for 1/12th circuit cars. After a huge amount of testing of natural foams and with the help of team drivers Paul Lemieux and Chris Kerswell they have entered into the market with Contact 1/12 scale tires. To help the driver they have decided to keep the same colour range of the main brands in this market. Trued to optimum diameter of 44mm for the fronts and 46mm for the rears they come pre glued on special Contact rims in white, which has been extensively tested for perfect strength and flexibility to provide the maximum traction.

The VTX1’s all aluminium case disperses heat without the use of a fan and it comes preloaded with eight profiles which are all customizable for different applications, or add your own profile for a track or track condition. The VTX1 is designed for 1/12 and 1/10 scale on road applications without radio receiver pack, it is also a perfect option for competitive 1/10 high traction indoor clay off road racing. The top of the line power FETs in the VTX1 will provide ultra-low resistance for blinking mode races. Its sophisticated boost timing firmware will be the best choice to the podium finishes. Cody King wins Toys 4 Tots at Revelation

Just one week after the Palm Desert Raceway Toys 4 Tots race, a second Southern California Toys 4 Tots race was held at Revelation Raceway. Cody King was once again in attendance after winning the first leg in Palm Desert, but this time had to face Adam Drake on his home track. The expert buggy race, as expected would be a match race between Drake and King. In the pair’s previous meeting here, King captured the TQ honors, but this time it would be Drake first on the grid, with a very impressive second round qualifier on a dry slippery track.

Philip Tschupp wins Rd1 of Swiss Championships

Philip Tschupp wins Rd1 of Swiss Championships

The first round of Swiss Indoor Championships was held last weekend at the indoor track Pilatus in Stans. Its an extremely technical and high grip track and after a few practice runs, it was Philip Tschupp driving a TOP Photon EX Prototype who was fastest, followed by Sandro Kuriger (ATS Podium finisher) then Fabian Widmer. The qualifying groups were small to avoid accidents and it was Philip that secured the TQ with Sandro Kuriger in second place with Fabian third. The first minutes of the finals was a tight race but after a few minutes Philip Tschupp would maintain his lead in every final. Sandro Kuriger made two mistakes and had one crash losing his second place in every final to Fabian. They had a hard but very fair battle in the last Final and in the end, it was Fabian who took the second place overall.
