Jason Woolridge wins at Battle Of The Sikest

The Battle of the Sikest was held at Thornhill Racing Circuit in Texas recently. Jason Woolridge (Xray) would sweep the Open Nitro Buggy class by taking the TQ and win from Brian Rohde 2nd. Kyosgo driver Brian Beck rounded out the podium result in 3rd.

Xray Racing Series Slovenia Rd1 – Report

The Genius ring indoor track recently played host to round 1 of the Xray Racing Series Slovenia. Drivers from six different countries attended the event with some big names being present such as Jan Raitheisky, Andrea Ghilotti, B.A. Arnaldi and many others. The Touring Stock 13.5T class, run with XRS handout motors, was TQ’d by Jan Ratheisky from Andrea Ghilotti and B.A. Arnaldi. The 21.5T formula class, also run with handout motors, again went to Jan with Matej Dobnikar and Daniele Conte coming in 2nd and 3rd respectively. Finally in 1/12th scale Pan Car it was Valentin Mis with the TQ from Simone Bellin and Lorenzo Milanese.

Xray Racing Series Poland Rd1 – Report

The opening round of the Xray Racing Series Poland was held in Lodz. The event took place in a newly-built sports hall and the track, laid out with EOS carpet and using new jumps, made for real EOS feeling. Bartlomiej Zambrzycki made a clean sweep in the 2WD and 4WD Buggy classes by taking the TQ and win in both at round 1. Bartosz Zalewski obtained the runner-up spot in 2WD from Jakub Luczak 3rd with the two swapping places in the 4WD ranking, handing Jakub the overall 2nd place from Bartosz 3rd.

Mustafa Alp wins at Italian UISP Nationals

The Italian UISP Nationals were held at Indoor Racing Chilelli in Scrivia, Italy. The race schedule was free practice on Saturday followed by triple qualifiers and triple mains on Sunday. Classes run included Touring Modified, Touring 13.5T Stock, Touring 17.5T Stock as well as Formula, 1/10th Pan Car and LRP Blast Truck. In 13.5T Stock it was Xray’s Mustafa Alp, who TQ’d round 1 and 3 of the qualifiers while sitting out Q2 to save tyres. In the finals it was again Mustafa on the top spot from the Capricorn of Federico Barbieri and Team Associated driver Davide Ongaro.

Paparegas takes 6th consecutive Greek IC Buggy title

The fourth and final round of Greek 1/8th Buggy Championship took place at the Renti track with drivers from all over Greece attending the event. Reigning champion, Tasos Paparegas (Xray) was in attendance to defend his title with a 4th place overall being enough for him to take another national title. Qualifying went well for him but at the start of the A-main he went into issues with slower drivers that send him dead last. However Tasos would start a comeback and ultimately he would end the race on the 3 spot which was enough for him to take his sixth consecutive title. Anapoliotakis (Tekno) would end the day on the highest step of the podium from Kyosho driver Papanikolaou in 2nd. Overall in the championship, Anapoliotakis took the runner-up spot from Papanikolaou 3rd.

3-hour 1/8th On-road Endurance Race – Announcement

The Deportivo de Automodelismo de Sevilla club will hold a season-ending 3-hour 1/8th on-road endurance race on the 16th of December in Sevilla, Spain. Teams will consist of two pilots and spots available are limited. More information about the event can be found on the club’s website here.

TLR 8ight-series carbon fibre shock towers

Coming from Team Losi Racing are new heavy duty carbon fibre shock towers for the 8ight 4.0 nitro and 8ight-E 4.0 E-buggy as well as the 8ight-T 4.0 nitro truck. The buggy front shock stay is machined from thick 5mm carbon fibre while the buggy rear tower and the two truck-specific items are cut from 4mm carbon fibre. They save about seven to 14 grams of weight compared to the stock parts and the buggy rear and truck front tower also offer additional tuning options for use on different track surfaces. The buggy-specific parts are usable on both the 8ight 4.0 and 8ight-E 4.0 while the truck parts are exclusive to the 8ight-T 4.0.
