Reds Racing Gen2 1/8th brushless motors

Italian company Reds Racing have introduced their new Gen2 1/8th electric brushless motors. Developed with the help of factory drivers such as Elliott Boots the power plants feature a new stator for increased heat dissipation, a redesigned rotor makes for improved throttle control and an all-new heatsink can increases heat dissipation. The features list is rounded out by dual sensor ports, pre-shaped heavy duty solder tabs and high-RPM ball bearings. The motor will become available in a range of winding options including 1900kv and 2100kv variants.

Yeah Racing Sprint 2 2.5mm carbon fibre main chassis

Coming from Yeah Racing and made for the HPI Sprint 2 touring car is a 2.5mm carbon fibre chassis plate. It replaces the standard, wobbly plastic chassis with a more rigid solution that not only greatly improves overall car handling and performance but also looks. The carbon fibre chassis is a direct replacement and it will hit stores soon.

Schelle Racing Innovations B64 alloy steering rack

Schelle Racing Innovations have introduced an aluminium steering rack for the Team Assocoated B64 line of buggies. Designed to replace the standard composite part, the alloy rack is made of high-quality aluminium and it comes with machined edge details for improved looks. Due to the sturdy construction the steering feel and durability are much improved for greater confidence when the going gets tough. Included with the rack, that fits both the B64 and B64D, come two bearing crush tubes.

Muchmore Fleta ZX V2 Titanium & Spec rotors

Coming from Muchmore is a full range of rotors for the new Fleta ZX V2 modified and stock racing motors. Available are a total of 15 rotors, including a dedicated drift variant with cooling fan and 1S 1/12th scale options, that will help to fine-tune the motor’s characteristics to the given track conditions or driving style. To ensure easy identification the titanium rotors come a yellow-anodised ring and all feature laser-engraved markings on the rotor body and pinion shaft.

Team Associated B64 Factory Team option parts

Team Associated have introduced a range of new Factory Team option parts for the B64 range of 1/10th 4WD buggies. First up are aluminium rear hubs in blue or black colour. The uprights are of a symmetrical design, they allow for axle height adjustment and the vertical camber link ball stud mounting helps to achieve finer roller centre adjustments. Also new are +2 FT steering arm blocks. Laser-etched for easy identification, the parts add more Ackermann than the stock plates which results in smoother steering response. Last but not least comes the FT LRC arm mount B made of heavy brass material. A direct fit for the standard LRC arm mount B, the part adds weight to the front of the buggy, it lowers the centre of gravity and improves front end consistence through high speed corners.

Quebec RC Series Rd3 – Report

The third round of the Quebec RC Series was held in Charlevoix on a Levi Jackson designed track. In Nitro Buggy, Eric Deschenes took the TQ in the last round, and he was able cruise to an easy win in the final in front of David Lécuyer and local Daniel Dallaire.

Adam Drake wins Nitro Buggy at Oil City Dash

Last weekend the R/C Racers of Edmonton hosted the Oil City Dash. The event had a full day of practice on Friday, qualifying on Saturday, and main events on Sunday. Mugen’s Adam Drake was the top qualifier in 1/8th Nitro Buggy and he went on to win the 45-minute final followed by Cory Drachenberg (Mugen) and Pete Tozzer (Team Associated).

EWS Summer Edition – Report

The Adur Model Car Club on the south-coast of England again hosted the popular Essex Winter Series organising team this weekend, as they put on their Summer Edition race. The weather was kind throughout the whole weekend, with just a few spots of rain during the early practice rounds but not even enough to slow the lap times down. This was also the first major race event in the UK at which the well-known ETS Volante tyre and Tonisport/MR33 hand-out additive was used, so the organisers arranged the format to give everyone plenty of track time to get used to the new rubber. It didn’t take people long, with track-record pace being up for grabs on not only new, but also used tyres as well, taking most of the tyre strategy out of play.
