Associated B64 HRC suspension mounts & steel weights

Coming from Team Associated and made for the B64 series of 1/10th 4WD buggies are new high roll centre C and D mounts as well as Factory Team steel chassis weights. Starting with the suspension mounts, they are of the high roll centre configuration, adding more roll centre options to AE’s latest 4WD buggy. The suspension hangers are available separately, they are made from blue anodised aluminium and fit both the B64 and B64D.

Xray XT8 2017 nitro truggy kit – Coming soon

Xray’s latest off-road kit to receive the 2017 treatment will be the forthcoming XT8 1/8th nitro off-road truggy. No details are available yet but expect the kit to hit stores very soon with the full presentation with all photos and information becoming available in time for the release.

Swiss Nitro On-road Nationals Rd2 – Report

The second round of the Swiss Nitro On-road Nationals was held at the Aigen track in changing weather conditions. The event started off on Friday with practice rounds on a sugared track but during the afternoon it started to rain. On Saturday morning the track was still wet but it dried fast, allowing for another 20 minutes of practice to adapt the drivers and cars to the now much lower traction. Unfortunately during qualifying it started to rain again and in the 1/8th class it was Simon Kurzbuch who made the best out of the conditions to take the TQ in front of Hächler and Pesenti.

Yee Kok Leong TQs & wins Kuala Lumpur Grand Prix

The 2017 encounter of the Malaysian Kuala Lumpur Grand Prix was held recently and in the premier 1/8th nitro on-road category it was an all Shepherd affair with Yee Kok Leong managing to secure the TQ position and leading from the start to the checkered flag with a faultless drive. Behind Yee it was Wong Yoong Keong who constantly fought his way up from his starting position at the back of the grid to finish 2nd in front of KK Lim in 3rd position.

Savvas Savva wins at RCE Championship Rd2

Round 2 of the RCE Championship was held in Nicosia, Cyprus in windy and warm weather conditions. The bumpy high grip track made things interesting on the track and after the qualifiers it was Rafael Panayi who took the TQ with his Xray. Unfortunately in the main final he had to retire due to a servo problem and so it was Xray teammate Savvas Savva who obtained the top spot after the final, leaving Pantelis Makrides (Agama) and Antonis Panayiotou (Kyosho) behind in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Ielasi Tuned 7T Hummer 3.5cc nitro off-road engine

Ielasi Tuned have introduced their new ITD 7T Hummer 3.5cc nitro off-road engine. The power plant features a new cooling head, ceramic rear and high-quality steel front bearings as well as a Factory Tuned 14.5mm crankshaft to further improve power output and drivability. The pre-run in engines come with a 9mm composite carburettor and a 6mm venturi insert, and each one is modified by hand and built from selected and matched parts to ensure factory team performance right out of the box. The engine will become available by end of May.

Novarossi R4-17 nitro engine conrod

Coming from Novarossi and made for the company’s 1/8th on-road engines is the new R4-17 conrod. The part was developed for Novarossi’s high-performance engine line such as the Mito35WC and using a new material greatly improves overall durability with the conrod life being nearly doubled compared to the standard R4 while maintaining a low weight and high performance.

Dutch Electric On-road Nationals Rd1 – Report

The opening round of the Dutch Electric On-road National Championship was held at the tight and technical track of the HFCC. The event attracted about 40 entries thanks to some updated rules and in the premier Touring Modified class it was veteran racer Bart Wubben who took the day’s win courtesy of wins in A1 and A2. This allowed him to sit out the third and final main at what was his first national race in eight years, to watch the other driver battle for the remaining podium spots. Ultimately Mitchell van Es would take the runner-up spot from Peter Meurs in 3rd.
