Techra T4 battery mount system

Coming from Techra and made for the Xray T4 series of touring cars is a battery mount system. Utilising machined, L-shaped 7075-T6 aluminium brackets the mounts are designed to minimise chassis tweak while giving the option of using the supplied hook and loop strap or optional fibre-reinforced tape to hold down the battery pack. The brackets sport a 2-tone black and orange finish and included in the set is also suitable mounting hardware.

Mon-Tech Racing WR4 1/10th rally body shell

Italian company Mon-Tech Racing has introduced their new WR4 body shell for 1/10th rally cars. Made from touch 1mm polycarbonate the lid sports VW Polo-inspired contours and it comes with a 2-piece rear wing, window masks and a decal sheet and it fits most 190mm touring and rally car chassis.

Pro-Line B64 Elite body shell

Pro-Line have introduced the new Elite body shell for the Team Associated B64 series of 1/10th scale 4WD buggies. The body features an overall low-slung design with sweeping lines throughout giving it an unmistakable look on the track. A cab-forward design with rails extending up the hood and A-pillar provides enhanced steering while a sloped centre fin balances out the rear of the car with great side-bite. The rear of the side pods feature outer ridges designed to lead air up to the included 6.5″ Air Force rear wing, maximising rear grip. The body is made of genuine Lexan material, it comes including two wings, window masks and a decal sheet.

Tyler Busch wins at Spring Smack Down

The Timewarp RC/Lake in the Hills 5th Annual Spring Smack Down was recently held with over 150 entries. Tyler Busch would walk away with the win in Stock Buggy while Tom Gwinn and Chris Gilliland made up the top 3 result.

Jason Breiner successful at West Coast Challenge Rd1

The Florida-based West Coast Challenge recently had their opening round with about 100 entries for the race. In the 4WD Buggy A-main Jason Breiner (Team Associated) came out fastest from runner-up, Ben Pinover and 3rd placed Ryan Petitt (both Xray).

Mattia Polito wins at FastRace Trophy

The FastRace Trophy was held this past weekend at the Ospy Team track in Gussago, Northern Italy. In the F1 category the main final was won by young Mattia Polito with Luca Puerari coming in 2nd some three laps down. Leonardo Valente took the TQ but had to settle for 3rd overall as he fell victim of bad luck at the start of the final.

Yaniv Sivan wins Israeli League E-Buggy series Rd5

The fifth round of this year’s Israeli League E-Buggy series was held at the Rishpon racing track near Tel Aviv. After three rounds of qualifying Yaniv Sivan took the TQ honours and thus the pole position for the triple A-mains. At the start of A1 Yaniv made a small mistake that saw him drop to 6th while Yaniv Levy, coming from the 2 spot on the grid, took over the lead followed by Amit Bublil. In the closing stages and after a big recovery, Yaniv Sivan was able to close the gap on Levy to take the lead and eventually coming in 1st in the opening A-main. A2 was pretty much a done deal for the TQ holder as Levy ran into tyre issues but was able to hold onto 2nd place while up front Yaniv Sivan would score another win and with it the overall victory.

Aydin Horne sweeps Factory Tracks Invitational

Leisure Hours Raceway hosted the 4th Annual Factory Tracks Invitational in Will County, Illinois this past weekend. While in its fourth year running, each year has crowned a new champion from FTR’s Aydin, Austin, and Allen Horne having all won the overall 2WD/4WD combined championship. The FTR Invitational uses the all out, racing format of the Reedy Race of Champions with points decided by five runs in 2WD and five runs in 4WD allowing for one drop in each class. Running alongside the FTR Invitational was the 2017 JConcepts Shootout, which consisted of the more standard four rounds of qualifying and single A-Main format to decide the winner.
