Travis Amezcua teams up with Maclan Racing

Maclan Racing have announced the addition of former National Champion and multi-time Worlds Finalist, Travis Amezcua to join their racing and development team for 2016. Travis has already been working with Maclan to develop its new line of high performance motors and speed controls. Travis’ first official outing for Maclan Racing will be at the 2016 Reedy Race of Champions that Red RC will cover live from Thursday the 21st on.

Spec-R MF-01X aluminium rear hub set

Spec-R have introduced an aluminium rear hub set for the Tamiya MF-01X off-road vehicle. Included are blue anodised aluminium uprights that utilise composite inserts for the suspension pins, as well as carbon fibre camber plates along a set of mounting hardware. The alloy hubs make for improved durability and precision while adding visual impact at the same time.

Xray XB4 2.0mm upper graphite chassis brace

Coming from Xray and made for the XB4 buggy is a 2.0mm upper graphite chassis brace. Cut from high-quality carbon fibre the part is designed to fit atop the composite chassis brace and it makes for less flex and thus more stability. When using the upper brace, the composite rear lower brace has to be removed.

Cyprian championship title for Andreas Thrasyvoulou

After winning four meetings of the 6-round Cyprian championship Andreas Thrasyvoulou (Xray) has taken the 2015 1/8th Nitro Buggy championship title. Simos Tikkis (Kyosho) ended the season on the runner-up spot followed by Kyosho team mate Marios Christodoulou in third. Soteris Taifas (Kyosho) and Andreas Theodotou (Xray) round out the top 5 result.

Kaja Novotny doubles at Open Challenge Rd5

Round 5 of the Czech Open Challenge was held in Prague with about 100 entries for the race. The 2WD Buggy class had Kaja Novotny taking the TQ from team mates Milan Mudra, Jiri Benes and Max Gotzl. In 4WD it was again young Kaja who came out fastest, this time in front of Max Gotzl, Milan Mudra and Frantisek Kalenda to make it another Xray top 4 lock-out. In the A-mains the Kaja show continued as he easily won all mains to take the victories in both classes. Milan Mudra and Max Gotzl would sideline Kaja on the podium both in 2WD and 4WD to make it a perfect weekend for the youngsters.

Schumacher SupaStox Atom GT12 kit

Schumacher have introduced the SupaStox Atom kit for the GT12 class. It features an alloy chassis for ultra low centre of gravity, a new lightweight diff and wheels for low rotating weight, and a host of updates to further up the on track performance. The kit is available in two specifications with the first being the Pro. It includes the C/F Pro diff, side dampers, left rear wheel clamp and new Atom GT12 wheels while the more economically priced Sport variant has a fixed rear axle with no diff, no side dampers and old style SupaStox rear wheels.

Cristiano Sartor joins F.T. Line

F.T. Line have announced the signing of Cristiano Sartor to their factory team. A Senior class race winner at last year’s Italian Nationals, Cristiano will compete in the Italian national series again in order to fight for the 2016 title while also planning to attend selected Euro Nitro Series events as well as the European Championships.

Arnold & Delorme win at French Winter Nats

The recent third round of the French Indoor Winter Nationals, held in Thyez, saw Leo Arnold (Xray) taking the TQ in the Touring Modified class while Alexandre Kunkler (Xray) came out fastest in the Touring Stock class. In the Formula category Jérémy Limoges (Xray) placed himself on top of the timing sheets after the qualifiers. The finals of the Modified class then had Leo conserving his qualifying performance by taking the day’s win from his Xray team mates Hugo Ragaut and Jeremy Limoges.
