Danish Electric On-road Nationals Rd1 – Report

In the Modified Touring Car class Steven Olsen (Schumacher) took the round TQ in the opening qualifier from Stefan Finnich (Xray). In the second round Mike Gosvig (Xray) came out fastest from Steven while Casper Morgan (Tamiya) came in third. Tony McMahon wins at R.A.B Classic

Tony McMahon wins at R.A.B Classic

The recent R.A.B Classic race in Australia saw Xray’s Tony McMahon taking the TQ in the 13.5T Touring class. The sizzling hot track temperatures were hard for the handout Rush X36 tyres and Tony was fortunate to sit out the final qualifier to save tyres for the finals. A1 and A2 then went to the pole setter although the win in A2 was in doubt as his car’s fan seized up, causing the motor to cook and the car to slow down. Nevertheless Tony was able to bring home the win by a few car lengths and with it the overall victory. Fellow Xray driver Joe Ghiringhelli would end the day on the runner-up spot while Brian Stewart (VBC) rounded out the top 3 result.
