Round 9 of the popular Herts Nitro Model Club Winter Series was held this past weekend. In Nitro Buggy it was new Agama signing, Lee Martin with the win in the 20-minute A-main event, leaving behind Xray’s Callum Niblett in 2nd, some 13 seconds behind. Further 19 seconds back it was Agama driver Kevin Brunsden who would complete the top 3 result as Simon Reeves and Darren Hayden-Ball came in 4th and 5th respectively.

The opening round of the Spanish 1/8th E-Buggy Nationals was held at the La Jara club this past weekend. Juan Carlos Canas (SWorkz/Maclan Racing) took the overall TQ and he also came out on top after the A-mains, leaving behind young David Todd (Mugen/Ultimate) in 2nd and Carlos Pineda (Team Associated/Reedy) in 3rd. Joan Espasa (Xray/Reds Racing) and Jaume Figuls (Team Associated/Hobbywing) would round out the top 5 results.

Maclan Racing have announced the signing of European 1/8th off-road frontrunner, Juan Carlos Canas to their factory team. The SWorkz factory driver will be using Maclan Racing electronics for his 2020 E-Buggy racing program that started at last weekend’s Spanish 1/8th E-Buggy nationals. Juan Carlos set a first mark by taking the TQ and wins in A1 and A2 for the overall victory and the best possible way to start with his new sponsor.

Mugen Seiki Europe have announced the signing of Joni and Will Skidmore to their team. The two will campaign Mugen’s MBX8 platform at all major 1/8th off-road races across the UK and Europe and Mugen are happy to have the two onboard for this season.

The RC Car Club of America RCCA track in Fort Worth, Texas held the Full Throttle Championship this past weekend, attracting 110 entries from Texas, California, Canada and Arizona to battle it out in several electric on-road classes. In Touring Modified it was Xray’s Chris Adams with the overall TQ but when the dust had settled it was Xray’s JJ Wang with the overall win from Chris on the runner-up spot. Lex Tyler came in 3rd to round out the all-Xray top 3 results.

The 2020 Pan Car Grand Prix was held at the Aalborg RC club in Denmark in a single Formula and two 1/12th scale classes over the weekend. The Formula category, that unfortunately lacked some entires, saw Jesper Rasmussen taking the TQ and win from Mads Koue on the runner-up spot. Lars Christensen came in 3rd and Sara Koue rounded out the top 4. Over in 1/12th scale Stock it was again Jesper Rasmussen who would dominate the proceedings, taking the TQ and win from Michael Buch Strandholdt in 2nd and Joakim Larsen in 3rd.

Awesomatix have introduced their new ADC Advanced Damper Cups set for the D2.2 dampers. The kit is designed to simplify the maintenance of the D2.2 dampers and reduce the amount of rebuild routines. The new design makes for easier air removal and it allows to add oil into the damper body without the need of a full disassembly. The Danish RC Tonder club held the Fear Farm 3.0 race this past weekend, attracting drivers from Scandinavia, Germany, Poland and Denmark to battle it out in 1/8th Nitro and Electric Buggy classes. In Nitro Buggy it was Mugen’s Berkan Kilic with the overall TQ after a clean sweep and he would also come out successful after the 45-minute A-main encounter, leaving behind Xray’s Daniel Bubel in 2nd, a lap down. Kyosho’s Marcel Krüger would complete the top 3 podium result some nine seconds behind Daniel while Nikolai Lamberts lead the best of the rest in 4th, a lap short of Marcel.
