2015 ROAR Nationals track available for VRC Pro

2015 ROAR Nationals track available for VRC Pro

VRC Pro have announced the release of the 2015 ROAR 1/8th Fuel Off-road Nationals track for the 17th of June. As sanctioned by ROAR, neither the real nationals track in Chico, CA nor the virtual track should be available for practice prior to the start of the event and so the release comes in time with the start of the event’s practice rounds. VRC Pro will run the Virtual ROAR Nationals from June 18th until June 21st, simultaneously with the real ROAR event. On June 17th the new track will automatically become available for VRC Pro members who have an all-inclusive license, and it is also available from the VRC Pro e-shop.

Coming from Yeah Racing and made for the HPI E10 entry-level touring car is an aluminium front and rear shock tower set. The shock towers allow the use of standard shock absorbers for improved handling, traction and side-bite. Two rows of upper shock mounting holes let the driver fine-tune the damping characteristics with the towers being machined from purple anodised high-quality aluminium. South-African ORE Nationals Rd3 – Report

The third round of the 2015 South-African ORE national championship were held at the Krugersdorp Model Racers track, home of the 2002 World Championships. Free practise started on Thursday with a little bit of early Winter rain and the technical but fast track challenged all driving skills. The current Touring Modified championship leader Jason Hillcoat continued his good form by taking the TQ and win. Jason did not have it all his way after a 6th place in the first of the triple mains due to a technical failure. He was also challenged by the young and fast Alex Ribeiro and Antonio Caroli. The win for Jason Hillcoat also hands him the Modified National Championship title this year, making it three in a row.

Joseph Quagraine doubles at Finnish 1/8th Nats Rd1

The first round of the Finnish 1/8th Off-road Nationals was held at the Jyrkkälä track in Turku in the two categories of nitro and electric. Before the start of the 45 minute Nitro Buggy main final Joseph Quagraine broke his buggy’s engine due to radio problems and a servo that jammed at full throttle. Having called for a 10 minute delay to fix the problem Joseph and his mechanics rushed into the pits, changed the radio tray and engine, made it back on time, tuned the engine and started the race from the last position. With 7 minutes to go Joseph grabbed the lead and he kept it until the end of the race, handing him the win.

Simon Moss leaves Schumacher

UK’s Simon Moss has announced his departure from long-time sponsors Schumacher. Being with the British manufacturer for a good part of his racing career Simon now decided that it is time to look for something new. This is what Simon has to say about his decision:
