Serpent SRX2 SC carbon fibre option parts

Serpent introduce first option parts for their new SRX2 SC short course truck in the form of front and rear shock towers and a battery hold down plate. All parts are cut from high-quality carbon fibre, they offer improved looks and increased rigidity with the shock towers making for a more efficient suspension action. The parts are direct replacements for the stock composite parts but the rear shock tower also needs an optional nylon mount to fit on the rear motor SRX2 SC truck.

MD Racing MDT15 TC kit – More prototype images

Spanish company MD Racing today released new images of their MDT15 1/10th electric touring car prototype. They show what we understand is a working prototype that will make a first appearance at this weekend’s final round of the 2013/14 Euro Touring Series at the Hudy Racing Arena in Trencin, Slovakia. The car is a mixture of new and proven design ideas and based on a carbon fibre chassis plate with a vertical upper deck construction, carbon fibre A-arms and new design bulkheads which allow to access the front and rear spool/diff without the need to take off the shock towers or shocks. Dragon RC 1/10th short course truck wheel sets

Dragon RC have new wheel sets for 1/10th short course trucks available. They offer industry-standard 2.2″/3.0″ dimensions, 12mm wheel hex adapters and a universal offset suitable for Serpent, Losi and Team Associated trucks. The wheels come in sets of 4 pieces and in black, white and yellow colour.

Robert Batlle is the Buggyland champ

Robert Battle is the Buggyland champ

The Buggyland 2014 race at the CARTT track in Fuencarral, Madrid attracted some of the fastest racers of the region together with drivers from other countries such as Miguel Matias or Alex Zanchettin. Bryan Baldo (Mugen) took the TQ for the finals but at the end it was his team mate Robert Batlle who took the win after a nice battle with Bryan. TLR’s Alex Zanchettin finished 3rd and newly crowned Euro B champion Javo Pombo completed the top 4 result.

Patrick Hofer doubles at 4th round of Swiss buggy nats

The 4th round of the Swiss 1/10th electric off-road nationals was held at the famous Hohenems track. Mixed weather was predicted for the weekend but the drivers were greeted by sunny and warm weather on Saturday. In both the 2WD and 4WD class Team Associated’s Patrick Hofer took the win on the slippery track in front of Team Durango driver Milan Steiner and Team Yokomo Swiss’ Peter Forster who grabbed the 2nd and 3rd spot respectively in both classes.

Dutch electric on-road nationals Rd3 – Report

The 3rd round of the Dutch electric on-road nationals was held last weekend at the MRM track in Lelystad. Practice on Saturday took place under the best possible weather conditions but overnight rain washed away the grip and coming the first qualifying round the track was still wet but soon after the first round was completed, the clouds gave way for some sun, and racing action could start.

2nd Mibosport Offroad Meeting – Report

The 2nd Mibosport Offroad Meeting was held the last weekend at the Mibosport Off-road Arena’s astroturf track in Trebic. Unfortunately only 27 drivers signed in for the event with 15 drivers attending in the 2WD class and 12 drivers opted to run their 4WD buggies. Free practice was run on Friday afternoon with two timed practice rounds on Saturday morning. The fastest drivers in timed practice were Michal Orlowski in the 2WD class and Radek Flek in the 4WD class.

Andy Liu sweeps GT class at Byron On-road Challenge

At last weekend’s Byron On-road Challenge Andy Liu took the win in the 1/8th Nitro GT class after taking TQ in convincing manner. Shawn Bucklin grabbed the runner-up spot, Chad Kiffe completed the podium in 3rd.
